LATON, MARION RITA (nee STAFFORD)
On Saturday August 26th, 2017 at her home in Prescott, Marion Laton entered to rest in her 87th year. Marion Laton beloved wife of the late Bob Laton. Dear Mother of Chris (Marilyn), Cheryl Bernier (Paul) and Brent (Janet). She was the Cherished Grandmother of Shane, Chad, Jonathan, Jordan, Maggie and Kate. Marion is survived by her siblings Donald Stafford (the late Bette), Lawrence Stafford (Faye), Susan Stafford (the late Robert) and by her sister in-law Kathleen Stafford and brother in-law Maurice Young. She is survived by Bob’s sister Kaye Newton and brother Alex Laton. Marion was predeceased by her parents Edward and Violet Stafford (nee Trudeau), by siblings Mae Young, Elmer Stafford, Herbert Stafford, Wilfred Stafford (Ann), Edith Tanner (Elwood), Robert Stafford and by a nephew Michael Stafford and Bob’s Siblings Mary Collins (Leo), Joseph Laton (Dorothy), Elizabeth Collins (Gerald), Estella Boulton (Richard), Charles Laton, Pauline Ketcheson (Douglas), Gerard Laton and brother in-law Ted Newton. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church 160 Dibble St. West Prescott on Thursday August 31st, 2017 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in St. Mark Catholic Cemetery Development Drive. In lieu of flowers, light a memorial candle, place a donation to the B.D.H.F. (Palliative Care), the Heart & Stroke Foundation or St. Mark Catholic Church or share a special memory of Marion at www.mackayfuneralhome.com
