Mathieu, Jean-Pierre “John”
Mathieu, Jean-Pierre “John”- died August 25, 2017 after a brief illness. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Karen (nee Christensen) in 2010, John is survived by his children, Mario (Stella) and Manuel (Andrea); grandchildren Michael and Natasha; and siblings Suzanne, Rachelle, Rhéal, and Denis. John was a mason, carpenter, and home renovator in the Belleville area. He loved cooking for family and friends. His family thanks the staff of the ICU unit of Belleville General Hospital for their care. The family will receive friends at the Steele Family Centre, 20 Moira Street West on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. for a time of fellowship and sharing memories of John. Cremation entrusted to the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel (613-968-2273). Memorial Donations may be made to the Quinte Humane Society in John’s memory if desired.
