Obituary of Yvonne “Vonnie” Makey
Makey, Margaret Yvonne “Vonnie” – of Ridgetown, passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Tuesday July 25, 2017, age 78. Born in Chatham, Ontario on June 28, 1939 to parents the late Victor Joseph Peltier and Gladys Margaret Wright.
Loving mother of Debbie and Mike Bieber of Ridgetown, Maria and George Kernohan of Rondeau, and Shelley and Ray “Chip” Waite of Comber. Beloved grandmother of Jamie Bieber (Sherry Ross), Tommy Bieber, Ryan (Alli) Bieber, Stacy Kernohan (Kevin Rielly), Cory Kernohan, Gary Waite, Kim (Derrick) Dozois, and Karon Vaughan. Great-grandmother of Morgan, Meagan, Mikey, Onabella, Jaxon, Easton, Myanna, Johnny, Ryekin, Ethan, and Austin.
Sister of David (Lorraine) Peltier of Ridgetown and sister-in-law of Catherine Peltier of Ridgetown.
Predeceased also by her brother Vance Peltier.
Vonnie worked at Mallory Industries. She enjoyed spending her retirement shopping for her bling, reading, spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, camping and riding her motor cycle.
Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home on Friday July 28, 2017 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service for Yvonne will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday July 29 at 10am. Cremation to follow. Reception to be held at the Erie St. United Church Hall following the Funeral Service. A private family interment will be held in the Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
