Obituary of Norine Snobelen
SNOBELEN: Norine (nee Annett) –
A resident of Blenheim Community Village, and formerly R.R. # 4, Thamesville, Norine Snobelen passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in her 95th year.
Born in Sarnia, Norine was the daughter of the late Stanley and Barbara (Munro) Annett.
Norine will be reuniting with her husband of 69 years, Murray Snobelen (2015).
Loving mother to Barbara Sussex (Frank) of London and Ken Snobelen (Lilly) of R.R. # 4 Thamesville.
Proud grandmother of Aaron Sussex (Jodie), Sean Sussex (Jennifer), Sarah Snobelen, Steven Snobelen and Laura Snobelen. Great-grandmother to Emily, Avery, Luke and Jack Sussex.
Dear sister to Marie Goldhawk. Sister-in-law to Elgin McIntyre and Betty Annett.
Predeceased by her siblings Robert Annett, Donald Annett (Anna), Wallace Annett, Doris McIntyre (Bert) and Florence McIntyre. Predeceased by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Reg Snobelen (Madeline), Bob Snobelen (Marie) and Donald Goldhawk. Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Norine was a member of St. John’s Botany United Church, the UCW and the former McKay’s Corners Women’s Institute. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Mecca Chapter #58. Norine was a longtime secretary treasurer of the Women’s Division of the Ridgetown Fair Board. Norine will be remembered for her devotion to her family and her quiet determination.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Monday, August 21, 2017 from 10:00am until the Funeral Service at 11:00am with Gabriella Cutler officiating. Interment to follow at Botany Cemetery.
Donations made in memory of Norine to St. John’s Botany United Church or the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
