PROULX, Marius (1919 – 2017)
The Proulx family sadly announces his death in Sudbury at Health Sciences North, on Friday, August 25th 2017, at the age of 97. Predeceased by his parents Augustin Proulx and Marie-Louise (née Tremblay) Proulx, wife Yvette (née Gatien) Proulx and son Claude Proulx. Also predeceased by his brothers Joseph (late Berthe), Alphonse (late Cécile), Conrad (Mariette), Arthur (late Alice), Lucien (late Fernande), Bishop Adolphe Proulx, his sisters Marie Charbonneau (late René), Léda Charbonneau (late Omer) and Marguerite Proulx. He is survived by his loving children Louise Boivert of North Bay, Claudette Courchesne (Marc) of North Bay and André Proulx of Sudbury, his sister Émilie Trudel of Sudbury (late Ted). He will also be missed by his grandchildren Philippe Courchesne and Danielle Courchesne Montero (Carlos). Marius worked for INCO for a number of years and served throughout Europe with the Royal Canadian Engineers for five years during WWII. He earned various medals being the 39 – 45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defence medal and Canadian volunteer Service Medal and clasp. The family will receive family and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Tuesday, August 29th 2017 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Internment is to take place Wednesday, August 26th 2017 at 1 p.m. at St-Jacques cemetery in Hanmer.
