It is with great sadness that we announce that Joe (Pay) met a repair he couldn’t fix with duct tape. On August 24, 2017, of Whitby, Joseph Amedee Wade passed away in his 94th year surrounded by his loving family.
Loving husdand of Eleen (nee Richard) Wade for 62 years. Dear father of Reginald Wade of Whitby, Joanne(Glen) Barrett of Roseneath, Michael Wade(Rose Wilson) of Brampton and Jeannette Wade(Brian Cormier) of Whitby.
Loved and remembered by his grandchildren Crystal (Marshall) , Michael Jr, and Bryan Wade. Great grandfather to Dillon, Allyah, Emily, Allergra, Zoey, Abigail, and Vanessa. Survived by his youngest brother William Wade of Riverview NB and predeceased by his brothers Rene, Eloi, Henry and his two sisters Mary and Eva. Pay will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbors.
Son of the late Joseph and Emily (nee Martin) Wade, Joe was born in Shediac, New Brunswick and was a proud Acadian. After his father passed away at a young age, leaving his mother to raise the family alone, Joe left home to serve in the merchant marine during WWII. Sending money home to help his mom to care for his brothers and sisters.
He then moved to Toronto where he married Eileen and rased their famly ending up in Whitby. Joe was a very loving, friendly man with a big heart who would talk to anyone that walked by. He was always happy to help anyone and to share his knowledge of how to “fix” things and boy he could fix anything. He loved spending his time in the garage surrounded by all his tools, tinkering around inventing things which we called his “payventions”.
Service for Joe will be held at a later date. Donations can be made in Joe’s name to a charity of your choice.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Joseph Wade.source
