Whyte Norma Irene – August 17, 1950 – August 19, 2017

Obituary

It is with great sadness, we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Norma Irene Whyte. Norma was born to Ernest and Barbara Manning. She spent parts of her childhood in Winnipeg and Edmonton and settling in the Lower Mainland here in BC. Most of Norma’s childhood was spent in North Burnaby. She worked at CN/CP Telecommunications for a short while and then worked several years and retired from Service Canada. But Norma would be quick to tell you, the most meaningful and proudest part of her life are her twin daughters.
Norma is survived by her daughters Jenn (Andy), Brenda (Chris), her grandchildren, Ethan, Alexa, Owen, and Ashley, her brother Gordon (Fern), and her sisters Bunty (Ian) and Thelma. Also nephews, Peter and Stephen and nieces Jill and Cathy, as well as several great nieces and nephew.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday August 30th at Mt. Lehman Cemetery, 29745 Taylor Rd, Abbotsford.
Reception to follow at her daughter’s house (Jenn). Call 604-309-4242 for address.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in her memory to either BC Children’s Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society.
