Obituary of Joan McFadden
Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, at Lee Manor in Owen Sound, on Monday evening, August 14th, 2017. Joan Victoria McFadden (Joan Ney), of Owen Sound, at the age of 94 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Jim McFadden (1989). Loving mother of Jane McFadden, of Ottawa; Joanne Chapman and her husband, Gord; and Jill McFadden-Bartley and her husband, Eric, of Owen Sound. “Special mom” of Arlene Holdinga-Tanashi. Proud grandmother of Sean Brown (Emily), David Brown, Rob Chapman (Jaime-Leigh), Jeff Chapman, Erica Robertson (Jamie), April Keuken (Jordan) and great-grandmother of Caleb and Andreya Brown, Callista and Vivienne Fairbrother-Chapman, and Eska Robertson. Predeceased by her parents, Edgar and Harriet “Vic” Ney; her brother, Harold Ney (Isobel) and her infant brother, Bertram Ney.

WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Thursday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life for Joan McFadden will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, August 18th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kendall Schmitke officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Salvation Army or Second Chance Kids as an expression of sympathy.
