Obituary for Christine Lacroix
Lacroix, Christine of Kanata passed away peacefully on Friday, August 11, 2017 after a courageous battle against lung cancer. She will be greatly missed by her loving family especially her 98 year old mother Laurence Lacroix of New Orchard Lodge. Christine was born in Lapasse, Ontario on August 5, 1946 and grew up on a farm in Vars, Ontario. She graduated from business school in Ottawa and worked for decades as an executive assistant in the Ottawa civil service. After her retirement, she enjoyed travelling to many countries including China and India. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband Maurice Lovelock in 1995 and by her father Leonard Lacroix in 1998. She will be greatly missed by her siblings Lianne (Ron) of Kelowna, BC, Rachel of Lac-des-Iles, Quebec, Philip of Cardinal Ontario, Maurice of Gatineau, and Francine (Roger) of Gatineau. She will also be missed by her wonderful aunts SR Rachelle Lablanc of Ottawa, Eleonore (Roland) of Northbay and Doreen (Gaetan) of Pembroke plus many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
