Joyce Bang – 2017

Joyce Marion Bang, beloved mother of Tammy Armstrong and Glen Bang, passed away on July 15, 2017, at the Cypress Regional Hospital, at the age of 80 years. Joyce was born in Gull Lake on August 30, 1936. Joyce was raised in Hazlet, SK and graduated from the Hazlet School in 1955. On October 24, 1955, Joyce married Quentin Bang. They farmed near Hazlet where they raised their children, Tammy and Glen. Joyce like to entertain family and friends. She loved to cook, always liked trying new recipes. She was a good homemaker and gardener. Joyce enjoyed doing crafts, camping and fishing. Special times for her were when her grandchildren and great grandchildren were visiting. Joyce and Quinten spent many winters in Yuma, Arizona. Joyce and Quentin moved to Swift Current in 2010. The last few months Joyce resided at The Meadows long term care. Joyce leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Tammy Armtrong, her children Christopher (Natalie), Colin, Justin (Jen) and Dustin (Tiffany) Armstrong; son Glen (Melanie), and his children, Joey (Crystal), Richelle (Devon) and Kelly (Gerald); twelve great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; sister, Valerie Shrumm; sisters-in-law Gwen Harrison and Norma Ryan; brother-in-law Larry (Fern) Bang; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Quentin, in 2015, parents, Russell and Vye Johnson, mother and father-in-law, Gus and Mildred Bang, and two babies in infancy. The Celebration of Life Service will take place at a later date with interment service at Bethany Cemetery in the Hazlet District. Warren’s Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements.
