Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of family after a brief illness on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital at the age of 73.
Beloved wife of Joseph for 51 years. Loving mother of Lisa Allen (Craig) and Kristi Hall (Chris). Much loved Nana to Kaitlyn, Matthew and Jenna Allen and Kassidy and Carley Hall.
Loving sister of John (Joanne), Terry (Eddie), Carol (the late John), Betty (Don), Sharon (Gerald), Roger (Robert), Shawna (Rick).
Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses Marie (Frank), Leo (Elaine) and Jim (Linda).
Joan will be missed and remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Joan retired from the Waterloo District Catholic School Board after 34 years of service as a loving and dedicated teacher.
Joan’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467. Parish prayers 8:30 p.m. on Friday evening. Prayers will be offered in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 followed by procession to St. Anthony Daniel R.C. Church, 29 Midland Drive, Kitchener for a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. followed by a reception.
