A Tribute to an unforgettable women, we bid farewell to the kindest soul, Katherine Elizabeth Finucane, (née Votour), who passed peacefully in her home Sunday, July 16th, 2017 surrounded her loved ones. Gone before her, her father Vincent Votour, Mother in Law Christine Finucane (O’Reilly) and son Shane Finucane. She is survived by her loving husband Bernard Finucane and her three children, Shannon (Louise) and their kids Gavin, Leah, Jayden, and Conner. Sean (Tiffany) and their kids Keara and Riven. Kathy survived by, Her mother Eva, (Gordon Williams), her sister Charlotte (Donny Farrell), Bernies father Morgan Finucane, and her bother Vince Votour (Linda)
Family, and friends always knew Kathy as the kindest soul, an angle of a woman here on earth. She led a life of compassion, heart and soul. She made the largest impact on everyone she met, whether it was for a minute or a lifetime. Her journey was never easy, but she made the darkest days bright and the brightest day’s event brighter.
Kathy will always be remembered by her radiant love for her family, those in need or who were sick. She dedicated her life to helping those less fortunate and all while being there night and day for her loving husband, children and grandkids. Kathy had a true gift from God, one that was so much more exceptional than the average person. God brought people into Kathy’s life that needed her. The 58 years Kathy had on this earth may have been cut far too short, but she had accomplished so much more than most would accomplish in 100 years.
Kathy has taught her Grandchildren well by exemplifying kindness and respect. Kathy’s abilities to nurture her children and grandchildren were done without expensive things. She did everything with pure love, kind words and leading by example. Kathy made the best fun with the simplest of things, she sang the best songs, and she made the most creative things out of nothing. Kathy was and will always be the most symbolic and iconic person in her family’s lives forever. Her grandchildren will speak of her with grace and passion forever and always like she was with us yesterday.
Kathy will forever be missed, her memories cherished in our hearts forever.
All professional services entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Killaloe. Following cremation a Memorial Mass will be held on Friday July 28, 2017 at St. Andrews Catholic Church, Killaloe at 11am.
