Thomas “Tom” Walter Weaver
Thomas “Tom” Walter Weaver, 72, of Moncton, passed
away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital on
Sunday, July 16, 2017. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late
Alexander and Kathleen (Toogood) Weaver.
Tom started his career with the former Moncton City Police
Force, retiring from the RCMP. He was a lifetime member of the Moncton
First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed music, tinkering around the
house, woodworking; but his true pride was found in his family,
especially his grandchildren and great grandson.
Tom will be sadly missed by his wife of 50 years, Marie
(Constable) Weaver; children, Kristal Dawn Long (Jonathan) of
Riverview and son, Troy Thomas (Rose) of St. Antoine; grandchildren,
Jonathan, Aundrea (Nick), Alyssa (Kyle), Christian, Samantha and
Dawson; great grandson, Ethan; brothers, John “Jack” (Jane),
Richard (Earlyne) and Michael (Lorna); sisters, Joyce Landry and Susan
Moch (Harry); several nieces, nephews and extended family
members.
Resting at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
A Service to celebrate and honour Tom’s life will be held
from the Moncton First Church of the Nazarene (Fieldcrest Drive) on
Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. Patti Rossiter
officiating. Reception following the service. Interment will be in
Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
