ABERCROMBIE – Isabell Josephine Ella Riggs, 72, Abercrombie, passed away peacefully, July 15, 2017, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Pictou, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Ina (Peters) Campbell. Isabell was a member of Master’s Hand Ministry, and Ladies Home League at the Salvation Army. She enjoyed volunteering at the Shepherds Lunch Room and doing arts, crafts, and baking with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; daughters, Mary David, Edmonton, Alberta; Rose Lynch, Pictou; sons, Robert David, Pictou; Joey (Teri) David, Pictou; Kevin (Sandra) David, Linacy; Junior (Twila) David, Eureka; stepsons Timmy (Dominique) Riggs, Finland; Mark Riggs, Westville; 24 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Neil Gillis, Sackville; sisters, Marie Emberley, Owen Sound, Ontario; Terry Fosty, Hanover, Ontario.
Isabell was predeceased by her granddaughter Kersondra Lynch; sister, Bernice Hardy, niece, Wanda Gillis.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2017 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in the chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be in Abercrombie Cemetery.
Donations in Isabell’s memory may be made to the family.
