NEW GLASGOW – Leo Patrick Kenny, 78, New Glasgow, passed away peacefully, July 12, 2017, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Trenton, he was the son of the late James and Catherine (Gosby) Kenny. Leo worked in the pattern shop at the former Hawker Siddley and was a skilled carpenter by trade. Leo enjoyed long drives with no destination in mind, planning carpentry projects and spending time with his family especially his great grandson Kaden. Leo was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother.
He is survived by daughter, Gail Roussy (Mike Voutour), New Glasgow; son, Robert, Trenton; grandchildren, Kyle (Shay), Colby (Kristen), Kriston, Calin (Jordyn), Haley, and Wyatt; great grandchild, Kaden; sisters, Elva MacLean, Toronto, Ont; Mabel Bradberry, Brantford, Ont; Angelina Stevens (Lloyd Harris), New Glasgow; brothers, Alex, Churchville; Jerome, White Hill, Lloyd (Marion) Pleasant Valley; Roy (Marion), Lorne; brother-in-law, Robert (Audrey), Westville; former wife, Beverley, Westville; numerous nieces and nephews, special niece, Donna
.
Besides his parents, Leo was predeceased by brothers, James, Terry and Ross.
The family will receive visitors from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m, Friday, July 14, 2017 at P.& K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 in the chapel with Father Thomas MacNeil officiating. Burial will be in Christ the King Cemetery.
Donations in Leo’s memory may be made to the family.
