Dyck; Leon Ashley Dyck, age 49, of Herbert, Sk. passed away June 13, 2017 in Herbert. The Funeral Service was held at 4:00 pm, Friday, June 23, 2017 from Grace Community Church, Herbert, Sk. with Pastor Lyndon Epp officiating. The organist was Ruth Newton. The Honorary Pallbearers were Bruce Wiebe and Luke Gerl. The pallbearers were Barry Dyck, Jim Dyck, Darryl Dyck, Allan Dyck, and Cory Dyck. The Interment Service was held at the Herbert Community Cemetery. Leon is survived by his wife Liz, daughters, Ashley, Rebbeca, Jesse and step daughter Katie; brothers Jim, Darryl, Cory (Amanda), Barry (Rita), Allan (Debbie), Rodney (Eirmgaurd) and sister Jaquie (Murray) and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Victor Dyck, mother Agatha Dyck (Nee; Funk) and parents David and Kathirine Dyck and Peter and Elizabeth Funk. Leon was born on June 13, 1968 in Swift Current. He attended school in Herbert. He met Liz Norton on June 6, 2008 and they share their lives together. Leon enjoyed woodworking, model aero planes and gopher hunting with his friends. Leo was a very caring, loving father, husband and friend. I will be missed by all who knew him.
