It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Rose at the Hamilton General Hospital, on June 25, 2017, at the age of 71. Beloved wife and best friend of Ron for 50 years. Loving mother of Heather Kennedy (Mark), Jason (Valerie) and Aaron (Kaoru). Cherished grandmother of Ethan, Vanessa, William, Evie, Lily and Rosie. Dear sister of Don Costie (Kay), Jim Costie (Joanne), the late Elsie Tindale (late Bob), Margaret Green (late Edward) and the late Evelyn Johnson (late Albert).Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Vigil Prayers at 4:45 PM. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2265 Headon Road, Burlington on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 10:30 AM. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Burlington. Reception to follow at the church. For those who wish, donations in memory of Rose to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or McMaster Children’s Hospital would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
