Lawerence Walsh – 2017

WALSH, Larry James – (May 26, 1949 – June 19, 2017) Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Hospital on Monday, June 19, 2017 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous three month battle with cancer. Larry Walsh age 68 years. Predeceased by his parents: Alice and Bill; brothers: Frank, Harv, Owen and Dennis; parents-in-law: Nance and Jack Gosse; and sister-in-law: Joan Gosse. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 45 years Noreen (Mom) (nee Gosse); his sons: Dean (Barb), Shawn (Crista) and Corey (Samantha); The apples of his eyes his grandchildren: Devon, Chelsea, Tia, Cole and Kylie; brothers: Jerome (Cathy), and Howard (Dawn); sisters: Gail and Heather; brother-in-law: Bill Gosse; sister-in-law: Betty Lou (Boo) (David) Mercer and grand puppies: Maxx, Mia and RuRu. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews extended family and friends. Larry was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will always be remembered for his love of the time spent with Mom and the grandkids at the trailer while he played his accordion and sang his favorite songs. Larry was a true blessing and his memory will always be treasured close to our hearts. At Larry’s request cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave. Mt. Pearl on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from Barrett’s Chapel. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made in Larry’s memory to the Lung Association.
