Ushered into heaven on June 22, 2017, soul mate of the late Gord Scanlon, loving mother to Wayne (Gloria), Murray (Kathy) and Lynda (Ivan) Ashcroft. As Sarah said “Grandma was one of the most phenomenal, strong and independent women I have ever met”. Inspiring grandma to Meegan, Sarah, Maggie, Andrew, Dan & Sean. Super grandma to five great grandchildren. The late Mrs. Marie Scanlon will rest at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St., N., Orillia on Sunday from 4 – 6 pm, then on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 12 noon until time of Service in the chapel at 1 pm. Interment; St. Andrew’s – St. James’ Cemetery, Orillia. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Gideons or the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.
