It is with a heavy heart and tears in our eyes that we let all those who knew Andrew McRae know that after a courageous, lengthy illness he has gained his wings, and will be looking over us from the heavens. Born September 15, 1943, Andrew passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017. He leaves behind his brother and primary care giver; Robert McRae, his loving sister, who he lived with for the better part of his life; Viola Kertesz (the late Louis Kertesz). He is survived by his niece Karen Brooker, great-nephews; Cody Brooker (Lexi Decaria) and Eric Brooker, his niece Margaret Kertesz-Fraser (Nadine Fraser) and nephew Louis Kertesz (Janice Kertesz).
A private family burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Arrangements entrusted to the HETHERINGTON & DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL; 5176 Victoria Ave. (905-354-5614). Online condolences may be made at www.hetheringtonanddeans.com.
