The family announces with sorrow her death in Sturgeon Falls, Monday June 12, 2017 at the age of 72 years. Daughter of the late Romuald Martel and of Thérèse Martel (née Pilon) of Sturgeon Falls. Wife of the late Gérard Ménard. Beloved mother of Suzanne Ménard (Denis) of Temagami, Gérald (Lise), Joseph (Lise) and Caroline Brazeau (Ray) all of Sturgeon Falls. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her 7 grandchildren and her 5 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Claudette Andrew and Denis Martel (Allison) both of Ste Catharines, Richard Martel (Carmen) of Verner, Michel Martel (Nicole) and Simone Desormiers (André) both of Sturgeon Falls, Julien Martel of Corbeil, Pauline Pasierowski (Stan) of Chelmsford and Suzanne Tracey (John) of Windsor. Predeceased by her brother Lucien Martel (Mary-Lou Martel). The family will receive friends at the Théoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, Saturday, June 24th 2017 from 1 to 2 p.m. Prayers will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2 pm.
