1947-2017
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving
family, Genevieve “Madonna” Harvey at the Bay St. George
Long Term Care Center, Stephenville Crossing, NL on Friday, June 2,
2017 at the age of 70 years.
Madonna leaves to mourn her husband Allison; children:
Theresa (Charles), Carolyn (Eugene), Christopher (Tracy), Richard
(Penny), Shirley Hulan (like a daughter) whom she loved and cared for,
for over 25 years; grandchildren: Krista, Blayne, Chantelle, Kasandra,
Kaitlyn, Cody, Rachel; great-granddaughter Alexa; brother Fred
(Irene); sisters: Florence (Freeman), Shirley (Junior), Marilyn
(Sterling), Shirley (Steve), Lisa (Wade), Amanda (Dan) and a large
circle of extended family and close friends. Madonna was pre-deceased
by her mother Lorice, father Cyril and brother Eric.
Madonna was a very loving person. She married Allison Harvey
almost 53 years ago and had four beautiful children whom she cherished
with all her heart. They were her world until the seven grandchildren
started to arrive. Her heart opened even wider. She loved her family
with all her heart and then some.
Visitation will take place at St. Mary Magdalene Anglican
Church, Jeffrey’s, NL on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 2 – 4 and
7 – 9 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Tuesday,
June 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ruby Carter officiating followed by
Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Jeffrey’s. As
expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations
may be made to a charity of ones’ choice. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home,
Stephenville Crossing, NL.
