Murray Cowden

Obituary
Murray was born to Edna and Carl Cowden in Huntsville, ON., as the youngest of 5 siblings. He moved to Sudbury, ON. in 1965 and made memories and connections there before moving to Edmonton in 1994; with his wife at the time, Crystal and daughter, Cindy. It was in Edmonton that Murray and Crystal welcomed their second child, Rebecca.
Murray enjoyed playing baritone saxophone with the St. Albert Community band, having coffee at Tim Horton’s on 97th street, relaxing at the family cottage at Bay lake, ON., crafting and woodworking, discussing the complexities of the universe, cooking and “resting his eyes”.
He is survived by his daughters, Cindy and Rebecca; his siblings, Diane, Jim (Kathy), Mike (Sue), Paul (Karen); his ex-wife and friend, Crystal (Bob) and their son Daniel, along with many other loving family members in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia. Murray will be be returned home to Huntsville and laid to rest at Hutcheson Memorial Cemetery with his parents.
He will always be unforgettable, though near or far.
