Germaine Dupuis

DUPUIS, Germaine – In loving memory of Germaine Dupuis (Robineau), 91 years, who left us peacefully on May 16, 2017 at Au Chateau in Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by her husband Marcel. Beloved mother of Joanne Dupuis (Gerard Lefebvre, predeceased), Diane Dubois (Placide), Robert, Marc (Debbie), Lise, Daniel (Joceline Bergeron), Sylvio (Suzanne), Ginette Martin (Marcel), Jacques (Janice), and Bernard (Linda). Cherished “mémére” to 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Dear daughter of Lucien and Calixta (Landriault) Robineau predeceased. Also predeceased by brother Armand (Lorraine Benoit deceased), sisters Lucille St-Germain (Hormidas deceased) and Aline Glaude (Aurel deceased). Sadly missed by many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Born and raised in St-Charles where she resided most of her life, Germaine was a respected elementary school teacher for over 30 years. She was very involved in her community as a volunteer and member of several organizations before she moved to Sturgeon Falls. In later years, she was an active member of the Alidor seniors’ club of St-Charles, then the Sturgeon Falls seniors’ club and the Châtelaines. She enjoyed her summers at the ‘Domaine’ and at her daughter and son-in-law’s lakeside home, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, traveling, and her many winters in Florida. She was a wonderful cook who was happiest when hosting and preparing dinners for family and friends. She took great pride and interest in the activities and accomplishments of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will remember her selflessness and devotion. Arrangements made by Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home of Sturgeon Falls. Visitation from 10 a.m. on July 15, 2017 at St-Charles-Borromée Church with funeral mass to follow at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Au Chateau of Sturgeon Falls would be appreciated. (Cheques only).
