Smith John Arthur
1939-2017
At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Thursday,
May 11, 2017, of John Arthur Smith, of Alberton, age 77 years. Born at
Alberton, on November 18, 1939, he was the son of the late G. Alton
(Mack) and Miriam M. (nee Cunningham) Smith. He is survived
by a brother, James Alfred Smith, of Alberton, and by his many cousins
and friends.
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home & Chapel,
Alberton, for visiting hours Friday 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Saturday
morning from the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, for funeral mass at
10:00 a.m., Rev. Tim Broderick, Celebrant. Interment in the Church
Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Sacred Heart
Cemetery Fund would be gratefully appreciated.
Rev. Phelan McKenna Council # 8333 of the Knights of Colombus
will hold a prayer service for their departed member, on Friday
evening at 6:45 p.m.
