ROYLE, William James “Bill” – Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Center, Palliative Care Unit surrounded by his loving family and friends on Thursday, May 4, 2017. Bill Royle age 68 years. Predeceased by his parents John and Margaret (nee Short). Leaving to mourn with saddened hearts and loving memories his sister: Clare M. Wall (Pat – deceased); brothers: Errol (Myrtle –deceased) and his tower of strength Randy (Mary), nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many, many friends. Bill will always be remembered for his love of music, dancing, swimming and his daily walks. He was an avid fan of any Pittsburgh sports team, as well as a proud Toronto Maple Leaf’s Hockey fan. The Royle family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Bill’s home care workers and the staff of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Clinic and the Palliative Care Unit of the L.A. Miller Center for your continuous compassion and care during the last three years. At Bill’s request cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave, Mt. Pearl on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from Barrett’s Chapel Mt. Pearl. Interment will take place at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, on Wednesday, May 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made in Bill’s memory to the Canadian Council for the Blind, NL Chapter.
