Langan Doud – September 5, 1926 – May 1, 2017

Obituary for Langan Doud
Langan Doud, age 90, passed away quietly on May 1, 2017.
He was born on September 5, 1926 to Joseph & Malina Doud. Langan, his one brother and six sisters were raised on the family homestead near Maxim, SK.
He was a hard working and talented man who did everything from breaking horses, farming, heavy-duty mechanic and snow plow driver. There was nothing that he would not try and as he said “just get ‘er done”.
In the late sixties Langan moved west to Calgary. He went to work in the seismic industry and headed up to he Arctic. He loved to share stories about his adventures in the North. He worked hard, played hard and made many life long friends during this time.
Family was everything to Langan. He was a great father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He liked to tell us if “he didn’t have it, we didn’t need it”. Turns out he was right.
Langan was predeceased by his parents, four sisters, one brother, grandson Joseph and granddaughter Cassie.
He is survived by his partner Irene Robillard, children Terry, Colleen (John), Kathy and Brent (Marlene), thirteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He is also survived by two sisters Borgie Duignan and Dorthy Robillard. Many nephews, nieces and a large “Doud clan” will miss Langan.
He was a man full of life he enjoyed “a good drink, a good story and a good laugh”. Please remember him with a smile.
