Allan W. Jonah
1946-2017
Allan W. Jonah, 71, of Moncton, NB; passed away at
Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital, on
Monday, May 1, 2017 with his family by his side. He was born
in Moray Shire Scotland and was the son of the late Robert and Marjory
(Grigor) Jonah.
Allan was a retired employee with CNR Hump Yard. He was a
former President and Lion of the Year of the Irishtown Lions Club as
well as a former member of Curl Moncton and Maplewood Golf
Club.
A kind and gentle man, he will be sadly missed by his loving
wife of 46 years Cecilia (Leger) Jonah; daughter Nancy (Ian) Hibbert
of Gananoque, ON; son Gregory (Tracy) Jonah of Midland NS;
grandchildren Ryan McCully, Emma Jonah, Abby Jonah, Kathline
Valiquette, Teegan Sullivan, Darcy Sullivan-Theroux and Anna
Sullivan-Theroux; brothers Bill (Liz) of Riverview, Sandy (Linda) and
Jack (the late Sandra) all of Elgin as well as nieces and nephews. He
will also be sadly missed by the Legers his extended
family.
The Funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers &
Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview on Tuesday, May
23, 2017 at 11:00 am with Fr. Allison Carroll officiating.
Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe,
NB.
Donations in Allan’s memory made to a charity of the donor’s
choice would be
appreciated.
