Darlene Joanne Doucette – 2017

Darlene Joanne Doucette
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Darlene J. Doucette, 58, of Riverview, New Brunswick. She passed away
peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, at the George L. Dumont
University Hospital on Sunday, April 30th, 2017, following a brief but
courageous battle with cancer. Born in Saint John, she was the
daughter of the late Clarence and Lottie (Phillips)
Doucette.
Throughout her life she enjoyed being around people, whether
it be socializing, shopping, babysitting, or hosting family
gatherings. What meant the most to her was her family. Being
a mother and grandmother was her greatest
joy.
Darlene will be sadly missed by her husband of over 28 years,
Barry Scott; daughters, Lori LeBlanc (Kevin) and Ashley Gibbs (Shaun),
both of Moncton; son, Jamie Vautour (Jennifer Hamilton) of Moncton;
grandchildren, Kodie LeBlanc, Kianah LeBlanc and Ethan Gibbs; sisters,
Judy Cormier (Rheal), Julia Keith (Carl), Janet Doucette (John), Irene
MacDonald and Winona Doucette; brother, Clarence Jr. Doucette, as well
as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In
addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Tanya
Doucette and brothers, Winston and John.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. A Service to
celebrate and honour Darlene’s life will be held at
Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm,
with Rev. Cecil Symes officiating. Interment will be in
Elmwood Cemetery later in the spring.
In memory of Darlene, donations to the family would be
appreciated. Online condolences at
