Gladys Doreen Gimbel was born at Tuberose, Saskatchewan on November 14, 1930 and entered into rest in Red Deer on April 23, 2017 at the age of 86 years. Doreen will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 68 years, Vern of Lacombe; son Ivan (Sharon) of Lacombe and daughter Sherry (Robert) Olynick of Quill Lake, Saskatchewan; grandchildren: Andrea (Jeff) Pollard, Anthony Gimbel, Shaun Olynick, Seven (Meagan) Olynick and Marlon (Donnalee) Olynick; great-grandchildren: Alexander, Kelcey, Eric, Andrew, Bryana, Nolan, and Ethan; great-great grandson Zayden; her sister Roberta (Bob) Schafer and brother Ken (Sheila) Gronhovd as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Doreen was predeceased by her parents and her sister Luella and her husband Orlando Coates.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Lacombe Community Seventh-day Adventist Church on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to A Better World Canada.
