George Stanley Hannah
George S. Hannah, 74, of K.E. Spencer Memorial Home and
formerly of Lutes Mountain, NB, passed away peacefully at his
residence on Saturday, April 22, 2017. Born in Moncton he was the son
of the late Harry and Bertha (Fisher) Hannah. George attended Hillside
Baptist Church, enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Magnetic
Hill Lions Club. George will be fondly remembered as a school bus
driver with 28 year’s service.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 49 years,
Harriet (Hambleton) Hannah; children, Sharlene Lynn Alamo (Jose) of
Lutes Mountain, Candace Jayne Fiorentino (Christopher) of New
Hampshire, William Murray Hannah (Aphrodite) of New Zealand and Amy
Mae St.Thomas (Mark) of Moncton; many grandchildren and great
grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Maude Dickinson (Paul), Mae
Fisher (late Sherman), James Hannah (Connie), Irving Hannah (Virginia)
and Harry Hannah (Patricia); several nieces, nephews and extended
family members. In addition to his parents George was predeceased by a
brother-in-law, Sherman Fisher.
Visitation will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657
Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday April 27, from 2:00 to
4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate and honour
George’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel
on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 1:30 pm. Reception following the service.
Interment will be held in Fisher Hill Cemetery, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations in George’s memory can
be made to the Lions Sick Children Fund Inc., Lions Foundation of
Canada Dog Guides or Hillside Baptist Church. Online condolences for
