It is with broken hearts that the family of Catherine Leanne Houghton announces that she passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Apr 18, 2017 at the age of 44 years after a seven year struggle with cancer
Cathy was born on Nov 24, 1972 in Calgary. She grew up in Calgary and Kelowna and graduated from Foothills School of Nursing in 1995.
In 1996 she moved to Edmonton and married Mark in 1998, pursuing a life together in Pastoral ministry. After moving to Innisfail in 2001 they welcomed four children into their lives. In 2009 she moved with her family to Sherwood Park.
She is survived by her husband Mark, children Kayla (14), Nicole (14), Nathan (12) and Abram (9), parents Dan and Jan, in-laws Jack and Iris, brother Bruce (Shara), sister Karen (Greg), sisters-in-Law Corrine (Troy) and Darlene (Phil), and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of Cathy’s life will be held at Heartland Alliance Church 53105 Highway 21 Sherwood Park, AB on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11AM.
