Fournier, Paul Joseph – With profound sadness the family announces the unexpected death of Mr Paul Fournier. Mr Fournier died at the Englehart Hospital on Sunday April 16, 2017 at the age of 86 years.
Born on November 7, 1930 in Trois Saumon, Quebec to the late Napoleon Fournier and to the late Marie Bois, Mr Fournier was a long time Earlton resident and a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus of Council #8191. Mr Fournier was a man who had a big and generous heart and would always put the needs of others before his own. He loved his community and helped whenever he could. He loved his family dearly and always looked forward to any time spent with them. He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be sorely missed by all those who knew him.
Predeceased by his parents and by his daughter Marie-Josée Fournier, Mr Fournier is survived by his wife Georgette [nee Bois]; his children Michel Fournier and his wife Ginette Doyon, Steve Fournier and his wife Patricia Cote and Alain and his wife Jenny Fournier. He is the cherished grandfather of Dave Fournier and his wife Marieve Lemieux, Maxime Fournier and his friend Valerie Lavictoire, Joshua Fournier and his friend Ashley Curran, Ryan Fournier and his friend Daphne Belanger; cherished great-grandfather of Thomas Fournier and Eliane Fournier.
The Fournier family will welcome friends at the St-Jean-Baptiste Catholic Church – Earlton on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00pm and Saturday April 22, 2017 from 9:00am until 10:00am.(There will be a private family visitation from 10am -11am). The funeral mass will follow in the St-Jean-Baptiste Catholic Church at 11:00am. Memorial contributions to Community Cancer Care will be gratefully acknowledged.
