Joseph R. Fitzsimmons Jr. – 2017

FITZSIMMONS JOSEPH R. JR. – At the Charlotte County Hospital on
Wednesday April 12th, 2017; Joseph Ralph Fitzsimmons Jr. of
Campobello, NB; husband of the late Janet Vennell (Frost) Fitzsimmons.
Born on Campobello, he is the son of the late Joseph & Mabel
(Matthews) Fitzsimmons.
Joseph worked hard his whole life as a fisherman out on the sea
lobster fishing and purse seining to raise his family. He was a member
of St.Anne’s Anglican Church in Welshpool, NB.
Joseph is survived by his daughters Kim Farmer (Kevin) of
Campobello, Ellen Fitzsimmons of Fredericton, and son Kenneth
(Melanie), one brother James, also of Campobello. Seven
grandchildren, Bobby, Darcy, Carrie, Ashley, Chance, Nikki and Dawson.
Seven great grandchildren, Ashtan, Erin, Connor, Donovan, Gabriel,
Quincy and Jasmine, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Joseph was predeceased by a daughter, Leslie, brothers, Hughie
and Reid and a grandson Brady.
The funeral service in celebration of his life will be held on
Monday, April 17th, 2017 at 2:00 pm from St. Anne’s Anglican
Church, Welshpool, Campobello, NB. Janice Watters officiating. A
reception will immediately follow in the church hall. The interment
will take place later in the spring at Wilsons Beach Community
Cemetery, Head Harbour Road.
The family will receive friends during a time of visitation at
the church on Sunday evening, April 16th from 7 … 9 pm.
