Anne Rosslynn Hiltz

Anne Rosslynn Hiltz 29 septembre 1961 – 5 avril 2017

Anne Rosslynn Hiltz 55, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, in the QEII Health Sciences Centre. From her birth until her death, Anne nourished people around her with love, support and encouragement. She was born in Halifax on September 29, 1961 to Ross and Marion (DeYoung) Hiltz. She leaves behind her husband, Daniel Boucher, mother Marion, sister Patricia (Marchment), brother-in-law Garth, many cousins, and many more loyal and loving friends and colleagues. She will be greatly missed by them all. She was preceded in death by her father, Ross Hiltz.
Anne was strong and committed in whatever she did. After graduating from the College of Pharmacy, Dalhousie University, with the Governor Generals Medal, she completed a hospital pharmacy residency in Hamilton, Ontario. Upon graduation from there, Anne worked as a pharmacist and then manager at the Victoria General Hospital and later, the QEII Health Sciences Centre. Always looking for new challenges, Anne joined the pharmaceutical industry for a few years where she had a very successful, rewarding career. Her love was Pharmacy so she returned to the hospital as Director of Pharmacy at Capital Health and then as Senior Director, Pharmacy and the Renal Program with the Nova Scotia Health Authority where she worked until her passing. During this time, Anne pursued a Master of Health Studies which she completed with the highest academic standing in 2015 and was valedictorian for her graduating class.
Anne loved her work and was surrounded by a highly supportive group of professionals whom she was so fortunate to have and whom she truly appreciated being in her life.
Anne’s support and endless energy that she had for her family and friends was enormous. She always took plenty of time each week to spend quality time with her aging mother, whom she loved and cared for so deeply. As Anne often said, “Most of the good things in me came from my mother ” Anne had an especially close relationship with her only sibling, Patricia, and they spent endless hours talking things through and helping one another.
The time Anne spent with friends was equally as precious to her. She was often described by many of them as “the glue that keeps us all together.”
A funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at 1:00 PM, in the Apostles Anglican Church 6670 Bayers Rd, Halifax, NS B3L 2B5 with a reception to follow. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Apostles Anglican Church or a charity of your choice.
