Mary Dianne “Dean” Breen (Pye)
1948-2017
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our
mother, Mary Dianne “Dean” Breen, wife of the late
John Edward Breen Jr., on April 5, 2017 at the Saint John Regional
Hospital. Born September 27, 1948 in Saint John, she was a daughter of
the late Bernard and Violet (Perry) Pye.
Dean loved playing TV Bingo, shopping trips to Bangor, and
suntanning. She adored her time with her family, especially her
grandchildren, and they will all miss her delicious
cooking.
Dean was a loving mother to Tammy (Brad), Wayne (Jeanne), and
Richard (Stephanie); a loving grandmother to Brandon, Kayla, Jenna,
Matthew, Richard, Breanna, Mark, Sara, John, Sydney, and Mya; and
loving great-grandmother to Ahriana. She will also be missed by her
brothers: Gerry, Grant, Teddy, Danny, Ronnie, and Tim; sisters: Patsy,
Joanne, Linda, and Faye; special uncle, Paul Perry; and several nieces
and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was
predeceased by her son, John “Bucké”
(surviving partner, Shannon Riley); her brother, Paul; granddaughter,
Kaitlyn; and her sister-in-law and best friend, Rose
Landry.
Special thanks to Father David Fulton, the staff of 5C North
and Palliative Care for their compassion and care during our
mother’s final days at the hospital.
Arrangements are under the care of
