FIELD, Yvonne Madeline (nee Bilger) 1946 – 2017 – surrounded by her loving family, and promoted to the arms of her Lord and Saviour at her home on Wednesday, April 5th, 2017 in her 71st year. Cherished wife of Thomas Field of Port Dover. Loving mother of Jennifer Messman (Jeff) of San Francisco. Lovingly remembered by Tom’s children, Donna Hartnell (Keith) of Simcoe, daughters Laura & Megan; Lynda Newhouse (Al) of Brantford, children Lucas & Natalie; Sarah Galimberti of Ancaster, daughter Amanda; and Joe Field (Jenni) of Simcoe, daughter Kenzie. Yvonne will be sadly missed by her sister Norma Bilger of Tillsonburg, her brother Dan Bilger (Anne) of Petrolia, by her former son-in-law Honor Galimberti and by several nieces, nephews & extended family. Yvonne taught elementary school in Port Dover for 32 years and will be dearly missed by all her former students. Friends are invited to share their memories of Yvonne with her family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Sunday, April 9th, 2017 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Yvonne’s home going service will be held from Evergreen Heights Christian Fellowship, 140 Oak St. Simcoe on Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeff MacLeod officiating. Interment: St. John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Woodhouse. Those wishing to donate in memory of Yvonne are asked to consider Evergreen Heights Christian Fellowship or the Canadian Liver Foundation.
