Alan Bleakney
1955-2017
Alan Wayne Bleakney, 61, of Wheaton Settlement
passed away with his family by his side Saturday, March 25, 2017 at
the Moncton Hospital.
Born on the Goddard Road he was the son of Norma
(Hicks) Bleakney and the late Royden Bleakney. Alan worked
at many jobs including dairy farmer, mechanic, carpenter and installed
kitchens for MacDonalds restaurants. His family was very
important to him and he enjoyed boating and spending time at the
cottage.
He is survived and sadly missed by his mother
Norma, Fawcett Hill; wife Debby; children Valerie Hurley (Allan),
Wheaton Settlement, Lisa Will (Wayne), Petitcodiac, Douglas (Elizabeth
Matthews), Monteagle, Stacy Goddard (Jamie), Fawcett Hill and Adam
Smith (Shannon Lewis), Nackawic; grandchildren Brody, Alex, Anthony,
Bobby, Cody, Hailey, Parker, Leah, Emmitt, Jordan, Connor and Tanner;
brothers Brian, Killams Mills, Evans (Judy), Snider Mountain, Kevin
(Dez), AB, Brent (Lynn), Fawcett Hill) and sister Nancy Bleakney, SK;
brothers and sisters-in-law Gloria Roberts (Brian), Sharon Pollock
(Richard), Brian Layton (Pat), Larry Layton (Anne), Kathy Arthurs
(Ted), Linda Gillcash (Lorne), Joanne Solomon (Bryan), Kelly Layton
and Susan Layton (Joe Laidman) and several nieces and
nephews. Predeceased by his father Royden; father and
mother-in-law Harold and Gertie Layton; sister and brother-in-law
Elaine and Walter May and brothers-in-law Bobby and Michael
Layton.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106
(372-4800) visiting will be Wednesday, March 29 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
pm and from where the funeral will be held in the chapel Thursday,
March 30 at 2 pm with Pastor Evans Bleakney officiating.
Interment at Wheaton Settlement at a later date.
If desired, in lieu of flowers donations to the
Wheaton Settlement Cemetery would be appreciated by the
family.
