Léger, Claude, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the age of 67. He was the husband of Juliette Boudreau-Léger. Born on December 26, 1949; he was the biological son of the late Ernest and Juliette Melanson and the adoptif son of the late Joe and Dora Léger.
Besides his wife, he will be greatly missed by his children: Tracy-Dawn and Matthew; one grandson, Leland; three sisters: Murielle Bourque of Shédiac, Gisèle Bourque of Shédiac and Rolande (Yvon Gallant) of Fitchburg, Massachusetts U.S.A.; his godson, Serge LeBlanc as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by a sister, Estelle Bourque and a brother, Valmond Melanson.
A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, March 25 at 2:30pm at the Shédiac Bay Community Church (28 Roy Mollins Dr, SHédiac N-B), followed by a reception in the church. The family will be greeting guest an hour before the service.
Claude was a very friendly person and loved to make people laugh. He also had a strong faith in Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Oncology department of the Moncton Hospital for the great care provided to Claude, as well as the many people who came to visit him.
