Adam (Ed) Lawrence Omelchuk 10 juin 1934 – 20 mars 2017

Adam (Ed) Lawrence Omelchuk, born June 10, 1934 in Lamont, AB, passed away peacefully, supported by his family, in Calgary on March 20, 2017, at the age of 82 years.
Ed was best known as a lifelong safe driver for Safeway, and most of all, as a loving husband to Sally (Sarah), adored little brother, caring father and proud grandfather to his four beloved grandchildren.
Ed is lovingly remembered and survived by his son, Larry (Kim) Omelchuk, and his daughter Kathy (Jeff) Mulligan, along with his grandchildren Stacy, Robyn, Kyle and Caitlin, and dear friend Shirley.
Ed’s sister Olga Bernatzki recently had a chance to spend time with Ed to reminisce which was very special.
Ed was pre-deceased by the true love of his life, Sally, his mother (Mary) and father (William) and three brothers.
At Ed’s request, there will be no funeral, however, a celebration of his life will be organized at a later date. For all that knew Ed, we will definitely enjoy a meal in his honour.
Special thanks to the many professional caregivers at both the Rocky View Hospital, and recently, at the Chinook Lodge for the special attention and care you provided to Ed and our family.
Donations in his name may be made to the Canadian Heart & Stroke at 110-1525 Carling Ave. Ottawa, ON K1Z 8R9 or www.heartandstroke.ca or Canadian Cancer Society www.cancer.ca or 200-325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, Alberta, T2E 2P5 .
