James "Jim" Millar

James “Jim” Millar

Obituary
After a full and productive life well lived, Jim met the challenge of his last years of poor health with characteristic strength, courage and dignity. He passed away at home, with his wife and family beside him.
Left to honour Jim’s memory are his beloved, devoted wife Judy; daughters Janet (John Collier), Brenda (Garth Campbell) and Deb (Brian Choma), and stepdaughter Corenna (Brian Buckler); grandchildren Emily (Paul Zoell) and James Collier, Aidan, Callum and Rory Campbell, Hugh and Lainey Choma, David Buckler, Lee (Rose) and Kristy Buckler; great-grandchildren Austin and Caitlyn; brother Mac (Carol Cotton); nieces Kelly and Jennifer, nephew Michael and extended family; many friends; all his co-workers at Millar Western and colleagues throughout Alberta’s construction and forest industries.
Jim was predeceased by his sister Marnie and nephew Gordon. A great many people supported Jim in his determined fight to stay with us, and the family expresses gratitude to all, with special thanks to Sarah, Stacey, Inonge, Sada, Felisa, Cynthia, Delta, Leslie and Ronda, and to his compassionate physician, Dr. Alison Martel.
