Alexander “Alex” Marr
It is with heavy hearts that we announce
the sudden passing of our dear son, brother and grandson, Alexander
“Alex” Marr, 25, of Moncton on Friday, March 17,
2017. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Allen and Nancy
(Macdonald) Marr of Moncton.
Alex was a graduate of Bernice MacNaughton High School and
attended NBCC Moncton as an Information Technology Student. He enjoyed
sports, video games, music and skateboarding.
In addition to his parents, Allen and Nancy, Alex is survived
by his loving sister, Caitlin Marr (John Alexander) of Edmonton, AB;
paternal grandparents, Patricia and Frank Marr of Halifax, NS;
step-grandmother, Edna Macdonald of Montague, PEI; aunts and uncles:
Susan and David Macdonald, Teresa and Robert Wilkie, Sarah Macdonald
and Stuart Gibb, Chris Macdonald, Andrew Macdonald and Yvette Serroul,
Richard and Crystal Marr, Cindy Marr; cousins, Mark, Matthew, Duncan,
Ian, Mary Clare, Patrick, Ethan, Adam, Braden and Ashley; several
extended family members and friends. Alex was predeceased by his
maternal grandparents, Mary and Kent
Macdonald.
Visitation will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657
Mountain Road, (858-1995) Moncton on Wednesday, March 22 from 6:00 to
9:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Alex’s life
will be held at St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church (43
Botsford St. Moncton), on Thursday March 23, 2017 at 9:30 am with Rev.
Allison Carroll and Rev. Charles Broderick presiding.
Reception to follow the mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Alex’s memory can
be made to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation.
