1926-2017
The death of Ruth Chamberlain of Grand Bay-Westfield,
cherished wife of the late Percival “Percy” Chamberlain,
occurred on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Saint John Regional
Hospital. Born on February 10, 1926 in L’Etete,
NB, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Hilda (Tucker)
Mitchell.
Ruth is survived by one daughter, Susan Pitt (Brian) of
Grand Bay-Westfield; two sons, Derek Chamberlain (Wendy) of Greenwich
Hill and Michael Chamberlain of Welsford; one sister, Madeline Gilbert
of Ontario; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Lori, Sarah, David,
Mallory, Seth, Griffin and Mike; five great-grandchildren; two
great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and
nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was also
predeceased by two brothers, Arthur and Douglas and four sisters,
Elaine, Kathleen, Frances and Helen.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View
Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, West Saint John
(634-7425) with visiting on Monday, March 13, 2017 from 12:00 PM –
2:00 PM and will be immediately followed by the funeral service at
2:00 PM, all from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel.
Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Sand Cove Road, West
Saint John on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 1:00 PM.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the NB
Heart and Stroke Foundation.
