Richard Bray McLaughlin
Richard “Dick” B. McLaughlin, 85, of Riverview, and
formerly of Upper Coverdale, passed away peacefully at The Moncton
Hospital on Monday, March 6, 2017. Born in Hillsborough, he was the
son of the late Ronald and Isobel (Bray) McLaughlin.
Dick was a retired Meteorologist Inspector with Environment
Canada (34 years’ service). He enjoyed hunting and fishing
and was a member of the G.W.R.R.A. (Gold Wing
Association).
Dick will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years, Laura
(Dixson) McLaughlin; daughters, Beverly Hopper (Conrad) of Little
River and Susan Downey (Ian) of St. George, ON and son, David
McLaughlin (Loison) of Upper Coverdale; grandchildren, Amy Nicholson
(Andrew), Dawn Hopper, Andrew Downey (Sarah) and Megan Downey
(Jordan); brothers, Larry (Margie) of Moncton, Wayne (Jane) of
Riverview, Phil (Shirley) of Halifax, NS as well as several nieces,
nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he
was predeceased by one brother, Arthur.
A private family graveside service will take place at
Alderwood Cemetery, Riverview, later in the spring.
Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton
(858-1995) in care of arrangements.
In memory of Dick, donations to The Friends of The Moncton
