Sophie was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1949. Not only was she a great homemaker, she also spent her years working in the food service industry. Always taking pride in her work. Sophie was predeceased by her husband John of sixty-six years. She is survived by her daughters, Irene (Dennis) Maillot and Lucia (Robin) Edmond; six grandchildren, Dean (Christina) Maillot, Kelly (Tamara Maillot Delong) Maillot, Darren (Heather Donauer) Maillot, Carey (Devon) Maillot, Jody (Dan) Metcalfe, Jess (Dan) Gregory and seven great-grandchildren.
