Thomas Theodore Zsoter

Dr. Thomas T. Zsoter M.D., F.R.C.P. (C), F.A.C.P., passed away on January 31st, at the Greenway Retirement home in Brampton. Having recently turned 94, he joins his late beloved wife, Magdalene, who he has missed since her passing five years ago. Failing health in the last year was further complicated in the last month. Thomas is survived by his children, Madeline (Gary), and Thomas Jr. (Michelle), his grand-daughters Alana (Richard), Jessica (Terry) and Nicole, and three darling great grand-children, Maddie, Tristynne and Holden.
Throughout his life he drove himself to excel in his studies, earning many top honours along the way. As a cardiologist, Dr. Zsoter was a man dedicated to his patients, having spent years as head of the Pharmacology program at Toronto Western Hospital, teaching at the University of Toronto and in private practice. He also published many scientific papers and was well-respected in the medical community.
Thomas enjoyed so many things in life – acquiring knowledge, travelling extensively, bridge, tennis and fine foods, such as his late wife would always lovingly prepare.
A service will be held at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 432 Sheppard Ave E. on Thursday, February 9th at 11:00A.M., followed by a reception at the church. Later interment will be a family affair. In lieu of flowers, donations to Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Church would be appreciated. To send expressions of sympathy please visit www.jsjonesandsonfuneralhome.com
