IRELAND, Rodney Arthur
March 29, 1962 – February 10, 2017
With heavy hearts and surrounded by family at the age of 54. Survived by his loving wife, Joanne (nee McMaster). Cherished father to Sarah and Shannon. Rod leaves behind his parents Arthur and Corleen, siblings Tim (Terri), Marcia (Terry) Joiner and Patricia (Deb). Loving brother-in-law to Chad, Amber, and Tom and son-in-law to Gail. Rod will be dearly missed by his buddy Cash, extended family and friends. He was a Bronte Fisherman, a dedicated coach of hockey and soccer, passionate hockey player, and a member of the Burlington Oldtimers Hockey Club. Family wish to thank the CCU at the Hamilton General Hospital for their tremendous support and effort. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, February 15 at 1 p.m. friends are welcome to gather from 12 noon until the time of service. Cremation has taken place. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Hamilton General Hospital-Cardiac Care Unit would be greatly appreciated.
