Pedersen, Oddvar Diesen “Buck” – of Georgetown passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at The Village of Riverside Glen, Guelph, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Eleanor McCaslin of Georgetown. Dear father of Douglas and his wife Debra, of Oshawa. Cherished grandfather of Gerrard and David. Also mourning his death are his stepson Gary (Lori) McCaslin of Georgetown, his step grandchildren Lindsay and Michael, his cousin Inger (Mike) Gioia of Jacksonville, Florida, his sisters-in-law Carol Calhoun of Chatham, Ruth (Murray) Beckenhauer of Georgetown, Glenna McMillan of Hanover, Iris Gateman of Hanover, his brothers-in-law Donald (Doreen) Gateman of Elmwood, and James (Anne) Gateman of Elmwood and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Edvard and Inga (nee Holtet) of Oslo, Norway, his wife Joanne and his brothers-in-law John Calhoun and Gerald Gateman and Bruce McMillan. Oddvar was born in Oslo, Norway and immigrated to Canada in 1960. He was trained as a printer in Norway and carried on that career in Toronto and Naples, FL, operating his own print shops. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Avenue, Georgetown, on Wednesday, January 25 at 10:00 a.m. until a time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Trafalgar Room.
