After living a long and full life, Dr. George Laurence
(Larry) Ramsay, died at the Veterans Health Unit in Fredericton on
February 7, 2017.
Larry was the son of George and May Ramsay of Malpeque,
Prince Edward Island. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings,
Wilton Ramsay, Eleanor Amey and Margaret Ramsay.
Larry served overseas in the Canadian Army and at the end of
the war attended Khaki University. Upon graduation from the
dentistry program at Dalhousie University he established his practice
in Saint John, where he lived for many years.
Larry is survived by his wife, Lois Ramsay, and by his
step-children, Suzanne Bonnell-Burley (Wayne Burley) and Fenwick
Bonnell, his grandchildren Tristan Burley (Lalla Davis) and
Erik Burley and his niece, Stephanie Amey.
McAdam’s Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
At Larry’s request there will be no visitation or funeral
service. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will
be held at a later date. For those who wish, donations in Larry’s
memory can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
The family wish to thank all staff of the Veterans Health
Unit for their compassionate care of Larry and our
family.
