It is with sad hearts that
the family of Douglas (Doug) Frederick Kinsman of Fredericton announce
his passing on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Hospice House,
Fredericton. Doug was 81. Born in Berwick NS on June 14, 1935, he was
the son of the late Clyde and Grace (Nix)
Kinsman.
Doug was a member of
Brunswick Street Baptist Church and Erb’s Cove Baptist
Church. He was a retired Salesman having worked for Daley’s
Furniture Co. Ltd., Lincoln Road, for several years. Doug was a Past
Chartered President of the Kentville, NS, Kinsman Club and was an avid
reader.
Doug is survived by his
loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Verna (Nickerson) Kinsman of
Fredericton; two sons, Stephen F. Kinsman (Sharon) of Saint John and
Darren A. Kinsman (Noriko) of Japan; a grandson Curtis Kinsman of
Saint John and a sister Kathryn Davison (Cecil) of Hortonville, NS;
nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Besides his parents,
Doug was predeceased by his faithful canine companion Tango.
At the request of the family
there will be no visitation. A memorial service celebrating the life
of Doug Kinsman will be held from Bishop’s Funeral Home
Chapel, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Tuesday, February 14, 2017
at 11:00 AM with Pastor Greg Geldart officiating. Interment of
Doug’s ashes will be held in the Erb’s Cove
Baptist Church Cemetery later in the Spring. For those who wish to
remember Doug through a memorial contribution, donations to Hospice
House, Fredericton, would be appreciated by the
